After skyrocketing sports betting revenue figures recently, a DraftKings Casino app for iOS and Android looks to be launching very soon.
While there is no confirmed date, the rumor is that the DraftKings NJ Casino will launch in 2Q of 2019 according to EGR.
Looking at some recent events, such as adding blackjack to the DraftKings sportsbook app back in December, this shouldn’t come as a surprise. Not to mention other casino games appearing in the app lobby in January.
Early Success for DraftKings Casino Games
To compete with other companies like NJ online casino leader Golden Nugget, DraftKings recently partnered up with Evolution Gaming to offer live dealer games.
DraftKings Casino games currently within the sportsbook app include the following:
– Live Dealer Games: blackjack, roulette, baccarat, three-card poker, and Ultimate Texas Hold’em
– Cleopatra slots
– Wheel of Fortune slots
– Double Poker Bonus
These games are doing well, with DraftKings gaining roughly $2.5 million in casino game revenue in January according to Eilers & Krejcik Gaming. This may not sound like much, but take a look at the tweet below. DraftKings casino revenue has quickly caught up with established NJ casino brands like Caesars.
We published our Online Casino Tracker this morning, which featured an analysis of DraftKings' 1st full month in the NJ online casino vertical. 1st mover advantage in sports, sports cross-sell, and new product vaulted DraftKings past 888, MGM, others in our proprietary tracking: pic.twitter.com/XzEIKBywOE

Looking at the Casino app potential, what helps DraftKings set themselves apart is that they can link the wallets of their massive DFS player audience. Their previous DFS competitor FanDuel Sportsbook has been slow to push their casino games from BetFair.
DraftKings is doing all they can to become an NJ sports betting juggernaut. A recent partnership with Caesars guarantees additional state access. The addition of the DK Casino app will likely skyrocket overall growth and revenue numbers moving forward.
