Depending on when you got into the market, last week’s Rabid Dog selections either went 3-0-1 ATS or a perfect 4-0 ATS. We also cashed money line tickets with both the Redskins and Steelers who beat the Jaguars and Patriots respectively.
While fortunate to cash that ticket with the Panthers on Monday Night Football, I’m still of the belief Carolina wins that one going away if Cam Newton’s arm wasn’t hanging onto his body by a thread. Dude couldn’t pass the ball with accuracy whatsoever. Again I feel very fortunate to cash that ticket with it taking a two point conversion return and a touchback fumble to get it done.
With NJ sports betting gaining steam, those partaking in it deserve more accurate injury reports so we can confidently throw our money down on NJ Sportsbooks with full confidence in the NFL product on the field. With Newton recently being shut down for the season, it’s safe to say he likely shouldn’t have suited up for that game regardless of Carolina playing for its playoff lives.
Rant over! I’ve targeted these salty dogs in Week 16 and hope to cash in with them a fourth straight week.

The Ravens have been a consistent fixture in this piece over the last few weeks. We took the points with them in Atlanta in a game heavy steam laughably came in on the host Falcons all week long leading up to kickoff. Baltimore dominated that game to win outright by 10 points. We also rode Lamar Jackson the following week in Arrowhead as near touchdown underdogs. That line proved to be a joke as well with it taking a sensational fourth down conversion late in the game for the Chiefs just to avoid losing the game outright. The Ravens ultimately ended up losing by a field goal in overtime. Dating back to last season, Terrell Suggs and company have covered four straight in the underdog role. They split those games SU with the two defeats coming by an average of 2.0 points per game.
LA has my ultimate respect after coming up with exhilarating outright wins over Pittsburgh and Kansas City over the L/3 weeks, but I expect their tank to run dry in this one against a determined Baltimore side fighting for its playoff lives.
New York Jets +3, +135 vs. GB Packers

The Packers were a trendy road dog in Chicago last week. While they put up a bigger fight than I actually envisioned, the end result was the same. They lost and failed to cover in falling 24-17 as 5.5 point dogs per the closing NFL betting odds. In doing so, Aaron Rodgers and company fell to a wretched 0-7 SU and 1-5-1 ATS away from Lambeau Field. Even with that being the case, linemakers opened the Cheeseheads as 2.5 point road chalk with the line steaming to -3 even though a bulk of the sharp money at a respected offshore sportsbook is heavy on New York.
The Jets have been much more competitive the last three weeks with Sam Darnold back under center, and I fully expect them to log their fifth win of the season against a Green Bay side whose season came to a close in Chicago a short week ago.
Cincinnati Bengals +10, +350 @ Browns

We’ve entered ridiculous territory with the Browns. I get that Cleveland is still
mathematically in the playoff hunt. However, it’s going to take nothing short of a miracle for Baker Mayfield and company to truly have a shot at getting in.
Linemakers are forcing NFL bettors to pay a huge premium with a team that while improved under the retooled coaching staff, it’s still by no means ready to laying this type of number against a division opponent. The same AFC North rival whose butt it kicked 35-20 just over a month ago at Cincinnati in a game that closed at a pick ‘em. AJ Green missed that game and Andy Dalton was knocked out early. Since then, Jeff Driskel has performed above my expectations in leading the Bengals to 1-2 SU & 2-1 ATS records after beating Oakland last week.
Don’t fall for the trap! Linemakers are leading the lambs to slaughter by feeding off the hype the Browns have built up since Hue Jackson’s dismissal. Cleveland’s Week 12 win and cover snapped a string of seven straight losses to the Bengals. Cincy comes to play in this one!
